Power Production Management

SKEI comprises a real-time monitoring and control system using a proprietary D2000 Entis® or D2000® Scada (OpenVMS) base technology. A visualisation model displaying the real-time status and parameters of monitored power facilities will be tailor-made when the solution is implemented at customer’s site. The system contains a support for multiple standard communication protocols (IEC-104, OPC, Modbus/Profibus etc.) to communicate with power facilities.

SKEI allows facility control either in manual or automatic mode. In the manual mode, the decision-making by means of manual central control interventions is reserved for experts monitoring the set goal (e.g. to minimise production costs, observe required quality and energy quantity). SKEI provides information in this mode used by the controller to take decisions.

As regards the automatic mode, work points of power facilities are controlled on the basis of a production plan transferred to the control system automatically from the Preparation for Operation module. The control system can modify a production plan in real time, provided that it is possible to enter accurate control criteria (minimisation of deviation from the plan, economic optimisation based on entered cost curves, control on the basis of entered energy quality criteria – such as steam output pressure). Of course, SKEI allows combinations of manual or automatic control modes.
