Trade Evolution and Analyses

Analytical tools implemented in SELT are used to assess a business day when it is closed (power day D+1). EDA contributes a lot to analysis, as it contains all the relevant power data and their aggregates (sums, integrals, averages…) correlated to the time of their origin (every datum is saved with a time stamp). In addition to this, it works as an integrating factor because the data saved in it come from various systems (SELT, SKEI, metering,...) and they are united in one consistent information base represented by time sequences (vectors). EDA contains targeted optimised resources for a very fast access to the vectors as well as special mathematical and statistical functions working over data time sequences. All the functions are accessible to users who can create their own calculations in a user-friendly graphical interface, intuitively, without any programming.

Analytical tools evaluate DDZ deviations and allocate responsibility for specific deviations. They support control clearance and make it possible to generate various balances, reports, notices and assemblies in required formats (xml, csv, xls,...) for a possible export into cooperating systems (MS Office, ERP systems,...). Overviews for various periods of time can be created according to various criteria (business partner, contract type, product type…). Average contract price, profits and losses etc. can be calculated (P&L) as required by user's needs.

The possibility to compare multiple vectors to each other can be sued to identify dependencies that are not readily clear. Correlation, auto-correlation, cross-correlation methods, regress analysis (linear, partial linear) are available to analyse both stationary and non-stationary processes. It is possible to compare, for example, forecasted values with actual ones and to use the outputs to refine prediction models, to modify them or to change their parameters. Typical days or selected day types can be analysed for a selected period of time, etc.

Please note that SELT tools cover every stage of the business process (planning, trading, optimisation, assessment) in a unified interface and this simplifies training of staff at different positions, simplifies and facilitates their cooperation and contributes to higher efficiency of processes in trading on liberalised electricity markets.
